Anne Dawson, Robert Stegmaier

Anne Dawson and Robert Stegmaier opened Fitness Physiotherapy Services of Manitoba, in January of 1995.

Anne has been practicing physiotherapy since her graduation form the University of Saskatchewan in 1981 with a focus on chronic pain syndromes, TMJ and spinal dysfunctions, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy and the StottĀ® Pilates Exercise Method for Rehabilitation and conditioning.

Anne has trained nationally and internationally in her study of acupuncture for pain relief. She teaches acupuncture and TMJ care to physiotherapists at a post graduate level. Anne is certified in Stott Exercise Method, the contemporary Approach, by the Stott International Certification Center. She is also an instructor trainer for Stott Pilates for their Stott Pilates in injuries Special Populations and Rehabilitation Courses. Anne has developed an individualized Pilates rehab exercise program only available at Fitness Physiotherapy. Anne has served on the Manitoba regulatory board for physiotherapists, The College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba and she is a member of many organizations including the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and the International Association for the Study of Pain. Anne has been a contributor to many medical journals and general interest publications on physiotherapy subjects.
